1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
Add:
1 c. water
1 Tbsp oil
Food coloring as desired
Cook over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture forms into a stiff ball. Remove from heat. With spatula, remove from pan and knead on counter. (don't be discouraged as mixture heats on the stove, it looks lumpy and unsuccessful.) If more food coloring is needed, you may knead more in until evenly mixed. Store in plastic bag or bowl.
